The scope of protection and the reading of the claims are not discussed here. That is the subject of a separate legal review, available on request.

Validation agreementsApplicable to the filing date of the family

The European route is a single examination procedure, not automatic protection in every state. After grant the proprietors define the territorial configuration: unitary effect may be requested in the states participating in the Unitary Patent system, and the European patent may be validated in other available states where that is useful. The final territorial scope depends on decisions taken after grant.

The geography of the family follows key deployment environments for distributed infrastructure: telecom sites, off-grid and backup installations, sites using diesel generation, and sites where solar generation operates alongside storage or backup supply.

As of 20 August 2026, the Unitary Patent system covers 18 EU Member States.

A separate right

European Union trade mark

A trade mark protects the name. A patent protects the technical solution. One does not replace the other.

What a patent does not show

A patent confirms priority and jurisdiction. It does not confirm certification, commercial readiness or test results — those are documented separately, on the validation page.

Implementation parameters and regime-level engineering are not disclosed in public materials.

Statuses are shown as of 20 August 2026 and are updated on official notifications from the offices. This page is a reference and does not replace a legal review of the portfolio.
